Ajahn Maha Bua Ñāṇasampaṇṇo (1913–2011), affectionately known as Luangta, was one of the most famous teachers of the Thai Forest Tradition of Theravada Buddhism.
He was a Buddhist monk (bhikkhu) for 77 years, and by the time of his death, his teachings had spread widely throughout Asia, and also to western countries.
