It all began with a dream, a borrowed typewriter and a filing cabinet which was past its best. The vision was that one day, the UK would have a national Christian radio station, which would take the good news of Jesus into every home and be part of a revival that was so big, the churches would struggle to cope with the number of new believers coming through their doors.
But it wouldn’t be an easy journey. At that time, it wasn’t legally possible for religious broadcasters to have national radio licenses, but when DAB (digital) radio was announced and much more space became available, suddenly national radio was a very real possibility. The dream and the vision (for over 25+ years!) was about to become a reality.
UCB began broadcasting on DAB in 2006 and from those early days, UCB has grown to the organization it is today. We now have two national radio stations on DAB (UCB1 and UCB2), two daily devotionals, a Prayerline, UCB Player and many more online and print resources.
